You probably browse the web to look for designs that can suit your kitchen. Don’t worry, at MyTyles, we have made an attempt to assist you with the various flooring options that you can consider for your bathroom.
The bathroom flooring needs to be carefully chosen as it an area that remains wet most of the times. There are many options you can choose from, for example, ceramic tiles, natural stones, sheet vinyl etc. An ideal bathroom flooring should be able to resist water, should not be slippery and should be easy to clean and maintain.
Let us have a look at some of the options we discussed above.
Firstly, we discuss Ceramic Tiles as an option. These are highly recommended as they both resist water and are easy to clean and maintain. Also, they come in good colours and designs that will add to the look of your bathroom. Also, they are very cost effective. Cleaning does not involve many efforts too, as they can be easily cleaned with water or cloth.
Another option you can go for is the Porcelain Tiles. Though these may cost a little more, they make a good choice as far as toughness and durability are concerned. These tiles are also stained resistant and just like ceramic tiles, are easy to clean and maintain.
Stone Tiles make another good flooring option. Slate, marble, and granite are options that one can go for if considering stone tiles. However, this might be very costly. Also, it might get difficult to find the right cleaning agents to clean the floors and if the right texture is not chosen, it can be slippery too.
Concrete Tiles is another option that people are considering these days. They do not possess that sheen and can add a rustic and tough look to your bathroom. However, these tiles are quite economical. It is both moisture and stain resistant and does not require frequent mopping as well.
Sheet Vinyl can be considered as another good option for bathrooms that are used heavily. They are quite durable and can resist heavy amounts of water.
Engineered Wood, can resist more amount of water than a laminate. However, it cannot resist heavy amounts. So, it is more recommended for less frequently used bathrooms or guest washrooms.
Apart from the above, some people also use carpeting or solid wooden flooring for their bathrooms. However, they are the worst choice as far as bathroom flooring is considered. They retain high amounts of moisture and will rot out in the long run.
